EU Controller at Vinnova

Role Description

As an EU Controller at Vinnova, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient accounting and reporting of the EU's partnership programs, particularly projects related to metals and minerals. You will work closely with project managers and other internal functions to monitor, report, and ensure the quality of the finances in our EU-funded initiatives. Your work will mainly consist of:

• Financial monitoring and reporting of EU projects according to applicable regulations.
• Ensuring that project accounting complies with both EU and state requirements.
• Collaborating with project managers, controllers, and external partners.
• Participating in audits and reviews from the EU Commission and national authorities.
• Developing and improving internal routines related to the finances of EU projects.
• Conducting training and information meetings together with other colleagues in the EU projects as needed.
• Assisting with other financial tasks in the unit as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has (requirements)

• Relevant post-secondary education in finance, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• At least three years of independent experience in accounting and financial reporting, particularly in projects with external funding.
• Good experience in budgeting and forecasting, as well as providing financial support to project managers and others in leadership positions.
• Experience in financial work related to EU projects.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is also meritorious if you have

• Experience working in Unit4 ERP (Agresso).
• Good understanding of public finance and accounting.
• Practical experience in year-end closing and annual accounts.

Location

We apply hybrid work, where our employees have the opportunity to combine working from home and in the office. At least half of the working hours should be spent in our activity-based office at Mäster Samuelsgatan 56, which is just a few minutes' walk from Stockholm Central Station.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period.
